Meet Mel
Our straight-talking design queen
Mel grew up convinced she was the love child of Princess Diana and Lionel Richie. In addition to her active imagination and obsession with the royals, Mel is known for her innate ability to walk into a space and envision the end result.
“I always say my job is about putting your taste in your home, not my taste in your home. If you’ve seen a concept you love, I’ll help you interpret it in a new and exciting way. I also love the challenge of incorporating a sentimental piece of furniture or that large screen TV because your home should be great to look at and a joy to live in.”
A born entrepreneur, Mel ran her own hairdressing business for nine years before turning her passion for design into a career. Thanks to word of mouth, Mel has become the go-to interior designer for leading builders and discerning home owners all over Victoria. Mel lives in Geelong with her family and two very spoilt cats.
